Meet our Aquatics Team

Meet Jessica Beach, the Peoria YMCA’s new Director of Aquatics, who will oversee the pool, swim lessons, lifeguards and the Safety Around Water Program. Jessica has always felt at home around water, and swam competitively for her middle school, high school, and college teams. She has worked at the YMCA in Salem, Oregon for over 5 year as Lifeguard, Instructor, Swim Team Coach, and eventually as the Aquatics Director. Outside of swimming, her hobbies include reading, writing, and visiting museums. Jessica will begin work on May 6th.
Meet Michelle Arnott, Co-Coach for the Y’s Summer Swim Team. Swimming has been a very important part of Michelle’s life. She swam in high school for Richwoods, at the collegiate level at Eastern Illinois, and coached USA swimming and summer swimming for 8 years. She has helped coach at the YMCA the past two summers and is looking forward to coaching this summer. She has two children who swim for the YMCA. Michelle looks forward to instilling a love of the sport with our team.
Meet Sarah Hall, Co-Coach for the Y’s Summer Swim Team. Sarah has been coaching swimming for fourteen years with experience at both the USA swim team and summer club team levels. She has been involved with coaching at the Peoria YMCA for two seasons prior to this summer. She swam for the YMCA in Fort Wayne, Indiana for eight years. Sarah is a mother of three children, who all swim for the YMCA.

You will see these three women bring with them incredible experience and passion for both aquatics and the YMCA. We can’t wait to see the excitement they bring to the pool this summer. With summer quickly approaching, we don’t have long to wait!
