Physical Family Activities

We want the Y to be a  place where all children and their families can belong and to establish a sense of well being and creative play outdoors. That is why you should enroll and participate in our monthly family activities.

Enroll your child in the activities club and let them play games, learn healthy habits and have fun, while you workout at the Peoria YMCA. Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), 4:15-7:45pm. Saturdays 9-11:30am. Click here for the flyer

We incorporate many classic games such as capture the flag, archery, fort building, as well as utilizing the CATCH curriculum stands for Coordinated Approach to Child Health.  This program focuses on sports, physical activity and nutrition, designed for elementary and middle school children (ages 5 – 12) in an after-school/summer setting.  Using fun games and activities, children are able to create good habits that will last a lifetime.

CATCH is composed of nutrition education materials and a physical activity component. The CATCH program offers an easy-to-use format that both children and staff enjoy and is ready to implement in the after-school and summer settings.

Members: One time $10 registration fee per child. Non-Members: $10 per day, per child.
