Year-round swim lesson offered ages 6 months to 12-year-old

Learning to swim is more than a life skill—it’s a critical step in keeping children safe and confident around water. At the YMCA, our swim lessons provide a welcoming, supportive environment where young people build water safety skills, gain confidence, and develop healthy habits that last a lifetime. Through caring instruction and a focus on individual progress, we help every child feel they belong while learning skills that can truly save lives.

Drowning remains one of the leading causes of death for children ages 1–4, and research shows that children in Black communities face a significantly higher risk—up to 5 times more likely to drown than their peers. This is a preventable tragedy. At the Y, we are committed to removing barriers and expanding access so every child has the opportunity to learn this essential skill.
