Before & After School Care

Our Y-ACHIEVEMENT  child care for Peoria Area Schools is more than just a safe place for your child. The staff make each day new and exciting with activities to develop the students. Your child will experience activities in these core content areas: arts and humanities, character based education, free play, homework support, literature, service based learning, and nutrition and fitness.

License exempt programs providing services for school age children may operate during remote learning days as determined by their local school district. No license exempt program shall serve a school age child during the school day if that child is enrolled in a school district that is requiring physical attendance on that day.

The YMCA offers before and after school care at select locations in the Peoria area. Please see program dates below **School Sites Available Tab**.

**The start and end dates at each care site are different due to school schedules. Please note when registering.**

$25 Registration fee PER CHILD.

  • Before and After Care 4-5 days = $90/week
  • Before and After Care 2-3 days = $54/week
  • Before Care Only = $43/week
  • After Care Only = $61/week
  • Before and After Care 1 day ONLY = $34/day

Financial assistance and scholarships are available.

  • When school is in session, Monday-Friday
  • 6:30am – School Start
  • School End – 6:00pm
  • Child Care Connections (CCC) Accepted. All Change of Provider forms should be faxed or scanned to Taylor Simpson – fax: 309-692-4892 or email taylor.simpson@peoriaymca.org. 
  • Scholarships Available: Reduced program and membership fees are available through the Greater Peoria Family YMCA. Rates will be based upon the household income and size of the family. A sliding scale is used to determine fees. Scholarship recipients must reapply annually. To qualify for child care assistance through the YMCA, parents must have been denied by Child Care Connections (CCC) first.
  • If you do not qualify for CCC, you may apply for scholarships through the Peoria YMCA.YMCA Scholarship Form
  • Change of Status: If your child attends our Before & After School Care and you need to alter the days/times they attend, complete the online CHANGE OF STATUS FORM. Requests must be submitted at least one week in advance of the change and parents are responsible for any fees incurred until this change goes into effect. To ensure proper ratios of students to staff. Changing or adding days requires a Change of Status form.  All registered students using the Y-Achievement Program will be billed weekly via bank draft regardless of if they attended the program, unless a Change of Status form is submitted.
