The YMCA Summer Swim Team is a fun and competitive program designed for swimmers of all skill levels, aged 11-17, who are looking to improve their swimming abilities while staying active throughout the summer. Our team will have the opportunity to practice up to 5 days per week focusing on stroke technique, endurance, and race strategy. Each practice will consist of warm-ups, skill drills, endurance training, and team-building exercises. NEW - dryland workout two hours per week on deck and/or in the wellness center (Register separately!). Our experienced coaches will provide personalized feedback to help swimmers refine their technique, and improve their overall performance in a supportive and positive environment. 8-Week Session Dates: Monday, June 2nd - Friday, July 25th Practice Schedule: Days: Monday - Friday Time: 9:00AM - 10:00AM Swim Meets: Throughout the summer, swimmers will have the opportunity to participate in 9 optional swim meets. These meets will include both home events at the YMCA and away meets at different locations. Participation in these meets will allow swimmers to challenge themselves in a competitive setting, race against other swimmers, and build confidence in their swimming abilities. Through guided activities, songs, and gentle play, families work together to help children develop foundational water skills and safety awareness.
