Youth/Teen Wellness Center January 26 Orientation
The Youth/Teen Orientation is offered to members who are 10-13 years of age. This orientation must be completed before they are allowed to access the Wellness Center and Track (equipment on the track). Instruction will be given on the Precor equipment. TUESDAY (FEBRUARY) Preschool Swim Lessons
Our Preschool Swim Lessons introduce young swimmers to the water in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Taught by a Y-USA certified swim instructor, this program focuses on building confidence, developing basic water skills, and practicing essential safety habits. Children learn through structured activities, guided play, and positive encouragement. Skills include assisted and unassisted floating, kicking, arm movements, breath control, and safe pool entry and exit. Our goal is to help every child feel comfortable in the water while setting a strong foundation for lifelong swimming and water safety. |

High School (Half-Season) Winter Swim Team
This competitive program offers children an opportunity to work with trained coaches to improve swimming skills, endurance and promote a healthy lifestyle. While attendance at all 4 days per week is strongly encouraged to help build their skill and ready them for competition, participants may attend as few or as many practices as they would like to accommodate their school schedule and other extra curricular activities. It is highly recommended that swim team members do their best to attend practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the most effective workout and conditioning opportunities. All practices will take place at Manual Academy located at 811 S Griswold St, Peoria, IL 61605. Locations of swim meets will be determined and shared at the start of the season. End date for this program is determined by the last swim meet of the season. |
