Winter Swim Team

Season Dates:

September 15, 2025 – February 27, 2026

Dive into winter with the YMCA Sharks! Whether your child is just starting out or already competitive in the pool, our Summer Swim Team offers a fun, challenging, and community-focused environment to improve their strokes, build endurance, and make new friends. Participants must be members of the Greater Peoria Family YMCA.

AGES & PRACTICE TIMES:

For ages 7-18 years old.

Program Offerings

10 & Under Penguin

A great fit for younger swimmers ready to refine technique and build endurance.
Practice: Monday–Thursday: 6pm-7pm
Fee: $500

11 & Up Penguin

For more experienced swimmers looking to take their training to the next level.
Practice: Monday–Thursday: 6p-7:15/30pm
Fee: $550

High School Penguin
For those currently on a high school swim team, this is for you.
Practice: Monday-Thursday: 6p-7:15/30pm
Fee: $400

Welcome to YMCA Swim Team!

What you need to know:

  • All swimmers should have goggles and appropriate swimwear. Head Coach will send further information regarding team gear.
  • All swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards.
  • All members will have the opportunity to compete in semi-monthly meets up to the Championships. Team members may be eligible to compete in Championships if they meet the qualifying time requirements.
